Rebecca and I had a very nice hike on a very hot day in Old Man’s Cave. We did have the benefit of a canopy of trees, which makes it cooler than other activities.
Rebecca’s hiking boots ended up blowing out during the hike and she was upset that they didn’t ‘last forever’. I asked her when she bought them and we figured it out that she had them for 14 years. The soles must have succumbed to dry-rot.
While hiking back to our car on the Upper Falls Trail, I encountered a deer and was able to sneak a few pics.
